So, first lets be very straight that I am talking about NATURALLY scented teas using other plants and flowers. I am not referring to that overpoweringly perfumed nonsense masquerading as tea and covered in some dodgy spray on smell.

Scented teas are any tea which has been mixed with another plant so as to absorb its fragrance naturally. The classic example is Jasmine Green tea but there are others such as Orchid Green tea, Rose Black tea or Mandarin PuErh. This is a fairly labour intensive process but the results can be delightful. The key is a good balance between the additional aroma and the tea taste.

We think you’ll love:

Dark and smooth GABA tea. Deep roasted nuts, tarmac and coffee. Fleeting spices like black cardamom, antique wood and black liquorice.

Jiao Gu Lan - Gynostemma pentaphyllum

A powerful immune boosting adaptogenic herb with a vast variety of reported health benefits. Licorice sweet and grassy.

Bamboo tray designed for preparing and inspecting tea.

Da Ye Kuding - Ilex kaushue

Very strong calming herb with a smoky aroma and powerful medicinal bitterness moving to sweetness.
